ABOUT

Gretchen Loda is a classically trained soprano with 28 years of singing experience and 25 years of vocal training. She specializes in patriotic ceremonial singing and historically-informed living-history performances. Since 2015 she has been a sought-after vocalist for the Star-Spangled Banner at sporting events, airshows, retirement ceremonies (including at the Pentagon), and community celebrations, as well as for WWII/USO-style 40s jazz programs and American Revolution living-history recitals with period attire.

Holding a Music degree from Keene State College (NASM-accredited) with a specialization in early music performance and musicology, Gretchen brings technical precision, historical knowledge, and emotional depth to every engagement. Her repertoire spans Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods, Irish and Celtic folk, sea shanties, vintage 20s-40s jazz, and patriotic anthems. Performance highlights include singing the National Anthem at the Pentagon for a military retirement, at Stafford Springs Monster Truck event for an audience of 10,000, at the Ron Johnson election celebration in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and multiple appearances at the American Heritage Museum. She has also presented Songs of the American Revolution at the Wayside Inn in Sudbury, MA, and Victorian songs for a Mark Twain event at the Grand Opera House in Oshkosh.

In addition to her primary work in patriotic and historic performance, Gretchen offers private voice lessons, musicology lectures on the American Revolution and vintage 20s-40s culture, music life coaching for singers, and select music wellness experiences including sound baths, musical meditation, breath work with singing, and gentle comfort singing.

Whether delivering the National Anthem at a major civic event or creating an immersive historic recital, Gretchen combines a powerful soprano voice with authenticity and heartfelt storytelling to create meaningful musical experiences.
